MarketMuse Names New Chief Executive Officer and President

Boston, MA | November 12, 2020 — MarketMuse, a leading content intelligence and optimization software company, is delighted to announce that Charles Frydenborg has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer.

Charles brings over 15 years of sales leadership experience and over 20 years of sales experience to MarketMuse. In recent years, Mr. Frydenborg has extended his responsibilities beyond sales, expanding into Revenue & Operations. He started his career at Gartner, the world’s leading research and advisory company, where he helped Gartner grow from $80 million in revenue to over $2 billion.

“I believed in the power of MarketMuse even prior to joining the company. During the past two years, I’ve witnessed, up close, the differentiated functionality of our MarketMuse Suite platform, and the unparalleled value that we provide our clients through the unique combination of business issues that we solve. To be appointed CEO and lead such a talented group of people into our next growth phase is a privilege and an honor,” said Mr. Frydenborg.

In addition, Co-founder Aki Balogh has also been appointed as the new President of MarketMuse focusing on fundraising, public relations and strategic partnerships. “I’m excited about my next stage with MarketMuse. Operationally we are in a great place, so I’m looking forward to focusing on strategically propelling MarketMuse to the next stage of our development,” said Mr. Balogh.

Mr. Balogh started MarketMuse in 2013, raised $11.5 million in seed investments, and grew the organization to attract customers like Motley Fool, Informa, Volvo Penta and Lionbridge — all with a vision of helping companies of all sizes create more impactful content.
These leadership changes come on the heels of a period of unprecedented growth for MarketMuse driven by the acceleration of sales in our Premium offerings and the successful launch of our PRO offering, which is tailored to the needs of small-to-medium-sized businesses.
